ST3PR (the “App”) is a mobile application developed and published by ST3PR (the “Publisher,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring the security of your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information when you use the App, including its features for tracking daily steps, distributing $B3TR token rewards through the VeBetterDAO platform, and applying reward multipliers based on third-party non-fungible tokens (NFTs).

By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of your information as described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, you must not use the App.

1.1 Information You Provide

  • Cryptocurrency Wallet Information: To receive $B3TR token rewards, you must link a compatible cryptocurrency wallet to the App. We may collect your wallet address or other identifiers required to facilitate token distribution through VeBetterDAO.

  • NFT Ownership Information: If you use third-party NFTs as reward multipliers, we may collect information about your NFT ownership (e.g., wallet address, NFT identifiers) to verify eligibility for multipliers.

  • User Communications: If you contact us (e.g., via email or in-app support), we may collect the information you provide, such as your name, email address, and the content of your message.

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

  • Step Data: The App integrates with third-party fitness tracking services (e.g., Apple Health, Google Fit) to collect your daily step count, up to a maximum of 20,000 steps per day. We only collect step data if you grant permission through your device’s fitness tracking service.

  • Device and Usage Information: We may collect information about your device (e.g., device type, operating system, IP address, unique device identifiers) and how you use the App (e.g., features accessed, time spent, errors encountered).

  • Blockchain Data: When you receive $B3TR tokens or use NFTs, we may collect transaction-related data (e.g., transaction IDs, wallet addresses) processed through the VeChain blockchain and VeBetterDAO platform.

1.3 Information from Third Parties

  • Fitness Tracking Services: If you grant permission, we collect step data from third-party services like Apple Health or Google Fit.

  • VeBetterDAO and Blockchain: We may receive information about your $B3TR token transactions or NFT ownership from the VeBetterDAO platform or VeChain blockchain.

  • NFT Marketplaces: If you use NFTs as reward multipliers, we may verify your NFT ownership through third-party NFT marketplaces (e.g., World of V), which may provide related data (e.g., wallet address, NFT metadata).

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information for the following purposes:

  • Provide and Improve the App: To track your steps, calculate $B3TR rewards, apply NFT multipliers, and ensure the App functions as intended.

  • Distribute Rewards: To facilitate the distribution of $B3TR tokens through VeBetterDAO smart contracts and verify NFT ownership for reward multipliers.

  • Account Management: To create and manage your account, authenticate your identity, and secure your access to the App.

  • User Support: To respond to your inquiries, provide customer support, and resolve issues.

  • Analytics and Improvement: To analyze usage patterns, monitor App performance, and improve features or user experience.

  • Fraud Prevention: To detect and prevent fraudulent activity, such as manipulating step data or NFT ownership, and to ensure compliance with our Terms and Conditions.

  • Legal Compliance: To comply with applicable laws, regulations, or legal requests, including those related to data protection, cryptocurrency, and NFTs.

  • Royalty Allocation: Where we receive royalties from secondary sales of eligible NFT collections, we use this information to allocate royalties to benefit NFT holders or add to the VeBetterDAO reward pool.

3. How We Share Your Information

We may share your information in the following circumstances:

  • With Service Providers: We may share your information with third-party service providers who assist us in operating the App, such as cloud hosting providers, analytics providers, or customer support platforms. These providers are contractually obligated to protect your information and use it only for the purposes we specify.

  • With VeBetterDAO and VeChain: To facilitate $B3TR token rewards and NFT multiplier functionality, we share necessary information (e.g., wallet addresses, transaction data, NFT ownership details) with the VeBetterDAO platform and VeChain blockchain, which operate according to their own privacy policies.

  • With NFT Marketplaces: To verify NFT ownership for reward multipliers, we may share or receive information (e.g., wallet addresses, NFT identifiers) with third-party NFT marketplaces like World of V, subject to their privacy policies.

  • For Legal Purposes: We may disclose your information to comply with legal obligations, respond to government requests, enforce our Terms and Conditions, or protect our rights, property, or safety, or that of our users or others.

  • In Business Transfers: If ST3PR is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred to the acquiring entity, subject to applicable data protection laws.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Blockchain and Public Data

  • Public Blockchain: $B3TR token transactions and NFT ownership are recorded on the VeChain blockchain, which is a public ledger. Information such as your wallet address, transaction details, and NFT ownership may be publicly accessible and cannot be deleted or modified due to the nature of blockchain technology.

  • No Control Over Blockchain Data: We are not responsible for the privacy or security of information stored on the VeChain blockchain or shared through VeBetterDAO or NFT marketplaces. You acknowledge that blockchain transactions are irreversible and may be visible to others.

5. Third-Party Services

The App integrates with third-party services, including:

  • Fitness Trackers: Apple Health, Google Fit, or other fitness tracking services, which collect and share step data with us if you grant permission.

  • VeBetterDAO and VeChain: For $B3TR token distribution and NFT verification.

  • NFT Marketplaces: Such as World of V, for verifying NFT ownership.

These third-party services have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their practices. We encourage you to review their policies before granting access to your data.

6. Data Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee the absolute security of your information, especially for data transmitted over the internet or stored on third-party systems (e.g., VeChain blockchain, NFT marketplaces).

You are responsible for securing your account credentials, cryptocurrency wallet private keys, and NFT-related information. We are not liable for any losses resulting from unauthorized access due to your failure to secure your credentials.

7. Data Retention

  • We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to provide the App’s services, comply with legal obligations, or resolve disputes, unless a longer retention period is required by law.

  • Step data, account information, and usage data may be retained for the duration of your account or as needed to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy.

  • Blockchain data (e.g., $B3TR transactions, NFT ownership) is stored permanently on the VeChain blockchain and cannot be deleted by us.

If you delete your account, we will delete your personal information, except for data required to be retained for legal or operational purposes or data stored on the blockchain.

8. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:

  • Access: Request access to the personal information we hold about you.

  • Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information.

  • Deletion: Request deletion of your personal information, subject to legal or blockchain-related limitations.

  • Restriction: Request restriction of certain processing activities.

  • Data Portability: Request a copy of your personal information in a structured, commonly used format.

  • Objection: Object to certain processing activities, such as for analytics purposes.

You may also manage permissions for step data through your device’s settings (e.g., Apple Health, Google Fit) or disconnect your cryptocurrency wallet from the App.

9. International Data Transfers

Your information may be processed or stored in countries outside your jurisdiction, including the United States, where data protection laws may differ. We take steps to ensure that such transfers comply with applicable laws (e.g., GDPR for EU residents). By using the App, you consent to the transfer of your information to countries outside your jurisdiction.

10. Children’s Privacy

The App is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 18 (or the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn that we have collected such information, we will take steps to delete it, unless required to retain it for legal purposes.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, legal requirements, or App functionality. The updated Privacy Policy will be posted on our website or within the App, and the “Last Updated” date will be revised. Your continued use of the App after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
